Dance costume Inspired by Move to Feel, Feel to Move by Leah Marojević
Final piece for my Dance Costume module at University. Inspired by the poem; Move to Feel, Feel to Move from the Elsewhen series by Leah Marojević. My interpretation of this poem was inspired by the sensation that if you stop working you never start again, common with depression. This led me to conduct some research about sharks based on the myth that they die if they stop moving. This brought me to the spikes on the arms and legs which were inspired by a shark’s gills and when the dancer moves, they move as if there is water running over them.
